Antartica -- 1969 Encyclopaedia Britannica

A couple of months ago I found a 1969 second edition (the first is 1960) of Children's Britannica (Encyclopaedia Britannica) in a charity shop in Middlesborough, UK. It is volume 1, letter A. Almost instinctively I searched for Antarctica. Here is what I've found:
What do they mean " a continent larger that Europe and Australia together"?! According the globe model Antartica is much smaller than this. But it also seems strange to me if they would give hint to the FE? Also in this same volume there is an image taken from very hight altitude in which, the entire area seems... i would say attractive, with not so much ice. I suppose it is a lovely place to visit. They mock us intellectually and most of the people are fine with that.
I personally speculate based on what i have found and interpreted in the old Hebrew books, that beyond Antartica there is some abyss, surrounding the entire circle of the earth. I believe the heavens (they are many concentric domes where the different luminaries circulate) are beyond or above that. I believe "they" have flied over this chasm with aircrafts many times.
I am so curious to know, what you guys believe?

I'm curious which "old Hebrew books" are you talking about. From the Bible? Or elsewhere?

I agree wholly. I believe there is something more there.

It’s interesting that they mention the elevation of the surrounding mountains, Byrd made no such notes and, in fact, discussed and documented the relatively low elevation of the mountains. Most of which I believe he named.
